This guide provides explanation as to why your offers might not be crediting and helps you solve the problem.
1.Cookies
Cookies are small files that are sent to your computer by the websites that you visit. They follow what you do on those websites, and in this case, report back to the advertisers server when you have completed an offer. So if your computer does not allow cookies to function, the advertiser does not know where you have completed the offer.
To change your settings in Internet Explorer: Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy tab. Your display should read "Accept all cookies." Then click the Advanced Tab and make sure that your "Override automatic cookie handling" is NOT checked.
Also, make sure to clear your cookies AFTER completing or clicking on an offer. Do not clear them anytime during the offer, as this will pretty much guarantee that you
won't be credited. To clear your cookies, do the following:
IE6:
1. Select "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "General" again.
2. Under the heading "Temporary Internet files," click on "Delete Cookies..."
3. Click "OK" for the "Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder?" prompt.
4. Click "OK" to exit.
IE7:
1. Click on "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "General" again.
2. Click the "Delete..." button.
3. Under the heading "Cookies," click on "Delete cookies..."
4. Click "Yes" for the "Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder?" prompt.
5. Click "Close" to exit.
2. Firewall/Anti-Virus
You will also want to check and make sure that if you have any virus protection programs such as McAfee, Norton, Symantec, etc, or spyware protection software such as Spy Sweeper, that these programs are not blocking third-party cookies. It is recommended that you turn them off before completing offers.
3. You are using Netscape, Firefox, or the AOL browser
We recommend using Internet Explorer - some people have had success with Firefox, but IE is recommended. Netscape and the AOL browser are NOT recommended and you may have problems with your account if you use them.
4. Repeating Offers
If you have already completed similar offers on another site, or have completed the same offer on another site, you will not be able to get credit here for it. Advertisers are paying money for new leads, not repeat customers. If they see someone that has done an offer previously on another site, they wont pay for your lead again.
